Golden Valley Golf and Country Club

Challenge: This two story 50,000 SF 1950’s clubhouse had limited views of the A.W Tillinghast golf course and a dysfunctional floor plan.
Clubhouse Design Solution: Partners & Sirny initiated a master plan study resulting in a vote to build a new clubhouse. An English south country estate style utilized by the renowned architect Edward Lutyens was selected. Primarily one story, this 59,500 SF clubhouse includes a 400 seat ballroom, 180 seat casual dining room and locker rooms with member lounges - all with spectacular views of the par 5 18th hole. A new pool/tennis cabana was built and the swimming pool was refurbished a year later. On the strength of increased banquet revenue, the club was able to refurbish their golf course 5 years later.
