Challenge: Design a clubhouse for a private golf club as a centerpiece to an 800 home community, surrounding a Tom Lehman designed golf course.
Clubhouse Design Solution: The name Somerby comes from a small village in central England. The clubhouse is a two level 35,000 SF building designed in a country estate style, reminiscent of southern English towns and landscapes. architecture. Upon entering the Great Hall you proceed to the pro shop, ballroom or ahead to the pub. The locker rooms, fitness and family grill are located on the lower level.
