Visitor Center & Headquarters

St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, St. Croix Falls, WI

The building and site design is derived from the mission of the National Park Service.

The visitor center portion enables delivery of environmental education and interpretation pertaining to the cultural and natural history of the Riverway. The headquarters portion provides space for the administrative offices of the Riverway. The facility is approximately 15,500 square feet. The building incorporates many sustainable design strategies including a vegetated roof, passive solar energy system, day lighting, natural ventilation, native vegetation, recycled and renewable materials.
