The inspiration for this hotel suite concept comes from the heart of the Midwest; the prairies and meadows serving as natural inspiration to living the simple life in this area of the country. The essential components taken from this area of the country are colors and materials found in the environment, as well as scale and repetition used as design principles to organize the elements. Bold colors, textures and different patterns in the selected fabrics will provide pops of color and interest, just as these elements would in the exterior environment. Utilizing natural materials such as wood furniture and stone mosaic tiles will ground the space and relate it to its concept. Using transitional furnishings and more contemporary lighting and artwork, will help to subtly modernize this hotel suite in a comfortable way.
