Richardson Nature Center

The Richardson Nature Center carries out the mission of the Hennepin County Parks: "to promote environmental stewardship and to provide opportunities for people to enhance their lives and increase their enjoyment and well-being through outdoor recreation and education experiences in a natural resources-based park system." The building engages the site and trail system, improving accessibility to all visitors. It's form expresses the interior spaces and is compatible with the existing structure. Further, the building does not only incorporate sustainable design principles but also exhibits them for interpretive benefit.
