Murie Science Center Education & Administration Building
Denali National Park & Preserve, Alaska
The design for both buildings was mostly derived from site conditions and aesthetic consistencies found in the other campus buildings. The Education and Administration Building is sited along with the Dining Hall and a recreation equipment building to form a central commons area. The porches on each building are oriented toward this common space to help reinforce a sense of community. The Education Building also serves as the Winter Visitor Center for the park.
