The conceptual design of the Murie Science Center is derived from the mission of Denali National Park and Preserve:
It is the park’s mission that visitors understand and appreciate the significance of natural systems. Recognizing the unique development and character of Alaska, we are also responsible for sustaining subsistence lifestyles and a setting conducive to scientific investigation.
The Center will provide an environment conducive for scientific investigation and link the public with park resources through innovative technology and progressive teaching methods. The Denali Science & Learning Center will be a bridge between the scientific community, park visitors, local Alaskan residents, and students of all ages.
