The Herzl Camp Master Plan identified guidelines for new and remodeled facilities including camper cabins, toilets/showers, fine arts, medical, waterfront and camping. It also identified implementation by phase with associated costs.
Sustainable Design Strategies: green roof, geothermal heating and cooling system, native plantings, rain gardens, pervious paving, construction waste recycling, biomass heating, substantial amounts of FSC-Certified wood, bio-composite board and recycled materials, educational exhibits pertaining to sustainable design,and high-performance thermal envelope.
