Oliver H. Kelley Farm

The project includes a master plan, cultural landscape report and schematic design for remodeling the existing visitor center and adding space to meet current and future needs of Oliver H. Kelly Farm. Additional buildings include a multi-purpose shelter, maintenance, animal husbandry and guest animal buildings, and picnic shelter.

Size: 5,943 square feet (remodeled), 10,451 square feet (new)

Sustainable Design Strategies Under Consideration: green roof, geothermal heating and cooling system, native plantings, rain gardens, pervious paving, construction waste recycling, biomass heating, substantial amounts of FSC-Certified wood, bio-composite board and recycled materials, educational exhibits pertaining to sustainable design,and high-performance thermal envelope.
